Chance to develop your primary care leadership skills

Are you passionate about improving primary or dental care? Would you like to develop your skills as a healthcare leader?

We are looking for GPs, dental practitioners, practice managers, nurses or other clinicians to take part in a new Primary Care Leadership Collaborative, developed in partnership with Health Education England, NHS England and the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Working as a group of three from your practice, federation or CCG within your local Sustainability and Transformation Plan, the funded course will empower you to enable innovation and transform services with the aim of improving health and health outcomes for your communities.

The programme involves three impact days on 28 February, 10 April and 22 May at the Holiday Inn at Impington, near Cambridge. Leadership development sessions will include small group discussions, guest speakers, project work and provide access to coaching and other resources through the NHS Leadership Academy and Eastern Academic Health Science Network.

Participants who have taken part in previous collaboratives have confirmed the benefits, with one saying: “Starting this programme is a huge positive. People need different skills than in the past, and it is difficult to find people to take leadership. Hands on help is essential.”

To apply, complete and submit the application form by 10am on Thursday 17 January. For more details, read the Primary Care Leadership Collaborative flyer.
