The Emergency Laparotomy Collaborative (ELC) is working with trusts and Academic Health Science Networks from across the eastern region to raise the standards of care and outcomes for patients undergoing Emergency Laparotomy surgery. By implementing six evidence-based measures, the aim is to raise the standards of care and outcomes for patients.
During this event, which will bring together trusts from across the eastern region, we are looking to progress the work of the collaborative to create an environment for shared learning on implementing the ELC bundle and quality improvement techniques, in order to reduce mortality rates and length of stay for patients.
